Golf may be the most technical game ever invented. Most people find that it is hard enough to consistently get the ball of the ground, let alone get it to travel a far distance. However, once they have mastered the basics they learn that they may not even have the proper equipment. Golf is different than all other sports, as there is not one basic style of club that everyone uses. There are so many different shaft and loft configurations that golfers have to choose from. The whole story can be found at http://davedonelsonteetogreen.blogspot.com/2011/07/even-if-your-clubs-are-off-shelf-get.html

A golf club shaft comes in women’s, senior, regular, stiff and extra stiff configurations. Most women will actually find that the regular shaft is best for them, but the women’s shaft is an option for slow swing speeds. The regular shaft is generally rated for swing speeds in the 90 to 100 miles per hour range. Professionals always use either stiff or extra stiff configurations, as their swing speeds are always around the 115-130 miles per hour range. The stiffness of the shaft has a lot to do with ball flight. If the shaft flexes too much, the ball can fly too high, or it could even go off-target. Driver loft is another issue for golfers. Most golfers will need at least 10 1/2 degrees of loft; however, professionals may use a driver with only 7 1/2 degrees of loft.

When you are purchasing golf clubs, although many consumers are price concious and want to save the most money, it is not worth the savings if you are getting a non-name brand which holds no ground in the industry. In fact, you will end up spending more because you will continually be having to purchase new clubs. But, if you opt to pay a little more, and buy the right brand name, not only will it save you more in the long run, it will also greatly cater to improving your game. The brand names are chosen by the pros and experts in the industry for a reason – they work and are better quality. The more well known the name, Nike, Callaway, Titleist, the more you can trust its quality and durability. Purchasing a brand name club does really make a difference, and although you will be spending more money up front, it will be worth it. The club will last much longer than a cheap club will last, you will get the best quality materials, and these clubs will typically come with a warranty. Therefore you know you can trust the quality, and you know you are getting the best possible clubs.

While the pros may employ a wide variety of club choices between their bags, there is one common club chosen most by the pros in the game today. Titleist by far is the most chosen brand of club in the bag today. Some golfers such as Ernie Els only plays Titleist, from their clubs, to balls, to attire, to bag.

One club that this brand is most notable in is the diver. The new Titleist 910 D2 driver is used by many pros today. It is a high performing driver and with a 460cc head, you are certain to hit the sweet spot every time. This patented driver will help you get the most out of your swing.

Titleist also has highly innovative irons which the pros employ for those high precision shots. While the professional clubs may be a little more unforgiving, they offer the most control over your game than any other club on the market today.

Titleist putters also employ advanced patented technology. These putters are able to give you extreme feel for your short game. This will ensure better distance control as well as aid you in keeping your putter online to sink more puts for your lowest score ever.

Buying a new set of clubs can be one of the most exciting things for avid golfers. They have finally learned some of the basic techniques, using an older set, and now they are ready to have something that is brand new. They will actually be able to look at a set of clubs and see a shiny surface, opposed to a ton of scratches. However, many golfers want to know where to shop for the best priced golf clubs.

There are actually several places they can shop for the best deals. The first place, which will likely be the cheapest is through online sites, such as eBay. Many people believe that these sites only sell used items; however, there are pro shops on there who are trying to boost their new sales. Another place to check is franchise golf shops. These stores have a lot of buying power, as they sell so many products. This will allow them to negotiate really good deals with the manufacturers. People will find that a lot of chain stores offer package deals, such as buy an iron set and receive a free driver. The Internet and franchise golf stores are the two best places to find a good deal.
